Hot Weather Work Update!

imageA few days ago I posted about how hot it has been here in Portland. Since my main workshop is out in the garage, I moved onto the dining room table. Central AC has to be the best invention of all time! Anyway, I have been working and finishing some miniatures fot the upcoming Portland Miniature Show the first weekend of October. ( More info to come soon! )
I completed 5 book boxes and 7 small round accent tables. I will update more as I complete more!

Summer Heat!

Don’t get me wrong. I LOVE the garage workshop I had built. But since the garage is not well insulated, when the weather is this hot, I am not able to work out there. My clay workspace in an extra bedroom is already quite full, so, I have moved into the dining room so I can get some work done. I took a picture of the table now. I will take another in a couple of days! I do tend to get messy! But at least I can work in the cool of the house!

Current Project Update

Beach Shack Progress

image

I have slowly been working on the beach house/ shack. Did the outside walls in white stucco, the main trim in blue and other trim in tan. Pretty basic, but I like it so far! I have made shutters for the windows and painted the door burgundy. I printed a blue stripe wallpaper for inside and I will do a white wainscoat arount the walls as well.

My Beach Shack

My newest project.

I found this tiny house at the Portland Miniature Show in October. It has been sitting in my workshop since then, staring at me. Since the holidays are over, I decided it was time to take it down off the shelf. This is a picture of the house I just finished priming. Now comes the decision about what to do with it! I knew when I bought it, I wanted to create a beach house. So let's see where it goes from here. I will keep you posted on the progress I make!

Hello world!

This is my trial blog post. Difficult for me as I type 5 words a minute with 15 mistakes. But my website is under construction but live and functional. This photo is at the Beaverton Library where I am being tutored in blogging by the webmaster Ben Brown, Jr. He has his work cut out for him, but I am very excited so I will learn quickly.
